“What if we could make something great happen in our world just by doing the things we do every day?”

This is the exact question that B1G1 Founder, Masami Sato, asked herself in 2007. Since then, it has led to an amazing world movement, and it is this very movement which has inspired YesTax to do what it does today.

In 2019, when YesTax was founded, it was formed with a purpose – to be a “business for good”, with the goal of helping to improve the welfare of vulnerable children with every single transaction that it made. It was decided that YesTax would donate 2.5% of its turnover to assist the welfare of vulnerable children both here in the UK and overseas – to give those children the chance of a better life just by doing what we do every day.

To date, YesTax has donated more than £300,000 to these causes and we are so proud of the impacts achieved as a result of the contributions being made.

The YesTax team is highly motivated by the fact that, in doing their day job, they also make meaningful contributions around the world. The initiatives that we support are often close to our hearts or those of our clients and business partners alike. Every single contribution matters to us, and none of this would be possible without the support of our clients, referral partners and staff, who together have contributed to making YesTax what it is today.

Here we share just some of the impacts made:

  • Safe house in Nepal – YesTax and the Guiding Light Foundation continue to fund our safe house in Nepal, providing security for children who have been victims of sexual abuse and helping to secure a bright future for these children.
  • Support Dogs – YesTax and the Guiding Light Foundation have sponsored the training and care of a support dog called Otis who will, when fully trained, support a child with either, autism or epilepsy or another special need.
  • Children on the ‘at risk’ register through the Covid19 crisis – YesTax and the Guiding light provided food and care packs and also activity back packs for vulnerable children during the pandemic.
  • The Children’s Hospital Champions Charity – YesTax and the Guiding Light make a monthly donation to the Children’s Champions charity.  This goes towards funding for life-saving equipment for the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, and we now have a snowflake on the side of the hospital building.
  • Paces Club 300 – YesTax and the Guiding Light Foundation are members of the Paces Club 300 and have sponsored a classroom at the new Paces School in Chapeltown, South Yorkshire.
  • Christmas gifts – YesTax and The Guiding Light Foundation have provided Christmas gifts for vulnerable children in Sheffield.  We have also provided donations for Easter Eggs to schools for vulnerable children so that these children do not go without.
  • Helping schools with vulnerable children and their families – YesTax and The Guiding Light Foundation have helped vulnerable families to purchase beds, bedding, fridges, microwaves and other household white goods to make life easier for these families.

YesTax decided to make giving an inherent part of its every day. It chose to put purpose, impact and social responsibility right at the very core of its business. Not only does this assist in positive change for the better, but it breeds a deeper, more meaningful culture which in turn attracts like-minded changemakers who help drive great business, and engender close, long-lasting, working relationships.

It's a Yes from us!

YesTax. Positively Better.
