5 Questions Series: Meet James Smith!
In the first of our new '5 Questions' series, meet James Smith - our Senior Software R&D Tax Consultant. Over the coming months, we'll be introducing our staff through five questions designed to uncover what life at YesTax is really like!

1) What’s the most memorable moment of your time at YesTax
Karaoke with Mark, Chris and Immie in September 2022, celebrating YesTax becoming an EOT. Will never hear Vienna by Billy Joel in the same light again.
2) What do you enjoy the most about working at YesTax?
Getting to sit across from the monolith of knowledge that is Mark Wood. Learning from the best and most experienced people in the industry has to be a highlight of working at YesTax.
3) If you weren’t at YesTax, what would you be doing?
I love YesTax for the charitable side of the business, and so I’d definitely want to be working for a company that helps the local community. What that would be, I have no idea!
4) Which colleague would you most want to be trapped on a desert island with?
It is a toss-up between Mark, John and Chris. I would need someone funny, ruling out John and also someone with good football knowledge, ruling out Chris. Mark, pack your bags.
5) Who has the most annoying habits in the office?
There are so many to choose from but the most annoying has to be the mess Nat leaves the kitchen in! Cupboard doors left open, coffee granules all over the side, and dirty spoons left in the sink.
