YesTax Marks £386,000 in Charitable Donations and Upholds 2.5% Turnover Pledge
At YesTax, doing good is more than a slogan. Since our creation in January 2019, we’ve believed that business success and social responsibility should go hand in hand. That belief became a formal pledge in August 2019, when we committed to donating 2.5% of our annual turnover, not profit, to charitable causes through our partner charity, The Guiding Light Foundation.
When we made that pledge, YesTax was just eight months old. Many companies wait until they’re well established to give back, but we wanted giving to be part of our DNA from the very beginning. By linking our donations to turnover rather than profit, our contribution grows in line with the work we do for clients, ensuring that every new project directly helps people in need.
In October 2022, YesTax took another bold step by transferring ownership to an Employee-Ownership Trust (EOT). This change gave every member of our team a meaningful stake in the business, reinforcing our shared commitment to ethical growth, fairness, and giving back. The EOT structure ensures that our founding values, including our 2.5% turnover donation, remain permanent features of the company.
One of our most significant projects has been our support for communities in Nepal. Working through the Guiding Light Foundation, our donations have helped to fund schools, healthcare, and infrastructure in areas where opportunities are limited. To date, over £250,000 has been directed to Nepalese projects, improving access to education and living conditions for countless children and families.
As of October 2025, YesTax has donated a total of £386,006 to charitable causes through The Guiding Light Foundation. Every pound represents the power of business to make a real difference.
We remain steadfast in our pledge: 2.5% of turnover will continue to be given each year, regardless of profit.
