Nepali Children July 2022 Update
Just when we thought we might be able to breathe a sigh of relief, another international crisis is upon us. The cost of living across the world is hurtling out of control and the pressures are being felt, even in economically developed nations. A third of children in the UK are now living in poverty, revealing the true depth of this national disaster.
However, this is not just a national story. Last week, we learnt from the charity we support in Nepal that they are not exempt from sky rocketing fuel bills and the cost of living crises. Our charity psychologist, Binita, who runs the safe house for vulnerable children we support, informed us that the cost of funding a child in the safe house has risen by almost 40%. Binita has dedicated her life to helping vulnerable children and we want to help her continue her work in Nepal, rescuing hundreds of children from sexual abuse. It is for this reason that we are increasing our monthly support to this amazing cause. We are also delighted to be sharing with you the latest quarterly report from Antardristi Nepal, the safehouse you help to support by working with YesTax.
